Expert on my field!

Today Im going to talk about Juan Egenau!
He was a very important professor in my field. He has died in 1987. When he was 60 years old!
He studied sculpture, but he was always interested in metal work! Before studying arts in Universidad de Chile, he studied Architecture, Jewelry in Florence and Casting in New York!
He is very important for me because he was who take metal work as a major, and he moves the jewelry to the sculpture. Thats why my major nowadays uses to reflect upon metal to make it art.
We still have some of his tools in the workshop. And there is a room called Juan Egenau in the university, where students make the exhibitions!

Here is one of his works, where we can see as he works with the body and metal, a very usual topic that we reflect in my major.

Here, he is working in repousse. Some of the techniques that he brings to the workshop and that we practice nowadays.

COOKING!!!

I love cooking , food and eat!!!
I try to eat healthy food all the time.

This year, Im leaving bread, sugar, milk, yoghurt, flour, meat in my diet!
Because, time ago I started to get sick very easyly having stomach ache very often!

Since I was a child, I used to eat lot of fruit and vegetables always! But today is my mainly food!
I have so much energy and I feel my body very healthy! My life has been changing a lot because of food!

Of course sometimes I eat whatever I want... Im not so strict...
If I have a barbecue I will eat a piece of meat, If I go to some birthday I will eat cake, or if I have a party I can't say no for a "piscola".

So, thinking about my favorite recipe to cook for my own
Is Quinoa with courgette!!
I love it... and is so easy

I use to chop the courgette and saute it in a pan, (could be with olive oil or just with water and salt)
Then I cook the quinoa (as rice) and mix this two things!
THAT'S ALL!!!!

special photo

I’ve already showed this picture…. But now I will explain why is this photo that important!!
At first, it brings to me a beautiful moment! This was when with my major went to Bolivia!!
This travel has been very important for us!! We use to remember it all the time….
The story of this picture is very emotive for us!  It was in Copacabana, at breakfast!
When we discovered this market (breakfast market), we had sit in this table wich was of this beautiful woman! She offered to us “api”, “pan con huevo y tomate” “mate de coca” and “picarones”. We enjoyed a lot all this food, and how she made all this for us with lot of love!!
When we were going out, my friend Manuel (the photographer) asked her if we could take a picture with her! She asked to us if she could have it! (like analog photo) We had to tell her that would be impossible because of the technology… Was very sad!!!!
BUT…. Manuel, couldn’t stop to think in this fact… and next day (last day in Copacabana), when we turned back to drink our “api” with “picarones”, he printed the picture and gave to her!
She was very excited and told to us beautiful words saying thanks, “If people asked about this photo, I will tell them you are my family”.  We all said good bye with tear eyes…

Music

Everything started with Axe Bahia
I can remember breaks at school, dancing every single song with my classmates!

After that, Reggaeton appeared! !Dembo" was in the radio all day and with my friends used to go to the disco , called SCALIBUR DISCOTEQUE (the popular one in San Felipe) to dance!

Then I grew up and I became more intelligent, I started to listen music with some sense, and more deep. I prefered chilean music, like nano stern, chinoy, father muckers, los tres....

But my favorite singer for a long time was Jorge Drexler. I used to listen him every day, all their CD's, learning all the lyrics. The good thing, is that he has song wich are adaptables for different moments. When you are depresive, in love, happy or confuse...

This was until I met Damien Rice! Now I listen him every day... sometimes could be depresive, but i prefere to say that is so intensive! I love him also as a musician! He is so clever with the guitar!
3 weeks ago, I went to his concert, it was an incredible experience... I still can't believe it. Because it was in the theatre Universidad de Chile, so the concert was very intimate. The best part was when he finished, he went out to the street and played two songs with his guitar.... I was a meter of distance!
